Dear COOLAGENT,
Ithink i will be the perfect example of satisfied student.Haveyou seen the movie Dirty dancing?... "I've had the time of my life..."Ihave had the best time of my life! My first day was little stressful, because my family has been found until June, not in Spring, as it was for most of students. Their e mail was written incorrectly in the papers they sent to coolagent, so i couldntcontact the familybefore i went there. I was little scared, if they will be on theairport, but coolagent told me that it has been all taken care of.That wasall i was worried about my first day. But then i sawsome people walking to meon the airport and i knew from the picsi have had, that this was them.
There is one thing i willremember for ever: the first english words I learned. On the plane I have learned that "on the rocks" means drink withice:-) and my second word was when me and my family were having supper at Burger king: they asked me if i want a "napkin" :-)i didntknow what that was.
I thought i cannot get as close to somestrange people as to my own family.I was wrong. My host familyis no more host family. It is my family.
Ihave had aboutten friends in a first week. And they were so cool that we kepthanging out for almost the whole year. I lived in a small townso everybody knewme before i had the chance to meet them. Butthey were all so friendly and theymade me to make a myspace andi have more than hundred friends there now. I stillkeep in touchwith some of them.
Because the town was so small, there was at the first sight nothing to do. But we were never bored. Wemade fun out of beingbored. I had my room in the basement andthere were about six people hanging outat any time of the day.I didnt even need to be there and my friends werehanging outin my room. We were like the group in "That 70's show". We usedtocall my basement Erick Forman's basement. My mom was even socool that she saidwe should take a black marker and get all myfriends signed on one wall in myroom. And so we did. It was fullby the time i left.
So there was alwaysfun with my friends even in a boring town. We made the town to live.
I wasalsoin a tennis team, participated in some school activities (Futurebusinessleaders of America- just because i thought it would befunny to be foreignleader of america:-) ), we atteneded schoolsport games, i did some trips withmy family and with my friends.I have seen Seattle and San Francisco. I haveswam in the oceanfor the first time, i was fishing for the first time, i was arealcowboy moving cows, i learned to ride a dirtbike very well, i wasa skiinstructor, and i made friendships for my whole life.
Thereis very manyexperiences that i just cannot write into one letter, because you would have toread it for about three days. I am verywilling to give all the best referencesto anyone who wants tohear about beeing foreign ex. student. If you want, youcan putmy article on your web. You also can leave a contact to me to people, who are interested in the program.
Thank you for the besttime of mylife
